Kalahari Conservation Society (KCS)

Kalahari Conservation Society was formed in 1982 when some concerned individuals realised that even though Botswana was renowned for her rich wildlife species, few people realised that fact. There were concerns that through ignorance or misguidance wildlife could suffer, and the irreplaceable resources be neglected and unwittingly destroyed, hence the formation of the society. The Society?s mission is to promote knowledge of Botswana?s rich wildlife resource through education and publicity. It also encourages research into issues affecting these resources and their conservation. KCS also promotes and supports policies of conservation towards wildlife and its habitat.
