Southern Africa Centre on Climate Change (SAC3)

The Southern Africa Centre on Climate Change (SAC3) is a nonprofit, independent body that promotes the identification and implementation of innovative yet pragmatic solutions to the challenges of global climate change with a specific focus on the business and financial services sector in Southern Africa. SAC3 is registered as a Section 21 (not for profit) company.

Mission
To provide an action-oriented forum for objective research and analysis, with the aim of raising awareness of the business opportunities and risks associated with global climate change and identifying and implementing practical climate change solutions throughout the Southern African business and financial communities. By providing credible independent research and by stimulating informed dialogue, the Centre serves as a catalyst for the financial and business sector to identify and respond effectively to climate-related risks. Through its activities, the Centre will also contribute to the identification and implementation by government of practical policy solutions.
