The Jane Goodall Institute SA chimpanzee sanctuary in Nelspruit exists to rescue and care for traumatised orphaned chimpanzees usually as a result of the bush meat and exotic animal trade.

Roots & Shoots is part of the JGI and teaches children of all ages care, respect and concern for animals, people and our environment
