Uthlanga provides a range of consulting services, as well as training and seminars, including training and advice on environmental legislation and practice, training of company directors on environmental legal obligations, training of internal auditors on environmental compliance audits and other environmentally related internal audit functions, and advice and training on environmental taxes and market-based instruments. The firm also manages, conducts and advises on environmental impact assessments, environmental audits, due diligence reviews and environmental risk assessments, as well as drafting, reviewing and advising on environmental policy and objectives, and advising on, designing and auditing of environmental management systems, including ISO14001.

The company also provides advice on mining royalties, mining environmental obligations, the Mining Charter and Codes of Good Practice, including tax deductions available in respect of expenditure and fringe benefits implications of obligations, and drafting of environmental management plans (EMPs), social and labour plans (SLPs) and related documentation.
