VACANCY: Student - Lower Breede River Conservancy Trust (LBRCT). - 2 September 2016
The LBRCT is a small non-profit organization who is the implementing agent for DEA & DP and the relevant municipalities for the management of the Breede River estuary. The conservation of the estuary is conducted by employing long term environmental monitoring efforts. The Breede estuary is renowned for its fishing and consequently is under extensive recreational angler pressure. This presents a challenge to balance resource utilization and the desperate need for conservation. The area is notoriously busy over the holiday seasons. The jurisdiction of the LBRCT covers the entire length of the estuary, 52km of river and 20kms of coastline.
The LBRCT seeks to employ an Education Officer and a student for experiential training (both paid positions).
Applicants should send their CV’s with referrals or queries to the LBRCT Conservator at conservation@breede-river.org.
